What is the Chamber?
The Camarillo Chamber of Commerce is the ultimate business resource in the Camarillo area. The Chamber is an association of businesses, organizations, education and government with over 500 members that employ about 20,000 people in the Camarillo area. Representing the interests of business to government (Business Advocacy & Political Action)
The Camarillo Chamber is the voice for business in the Camarillo area and represents the business community at the local, state and federal level. Camarillo Chamber is a founding member of the Chambers of Commerce Alliance of Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties, an organization that actively advocates for business in this area. Camarillo Chamber of Commerce takes positions on legislation and ballot propositions that affect business, and supports pro-business candidates. It acts as an advocate for business to elected representatives relative to business interests. Acting together creates more clout for business.
Improving the local economy (Economic Development)
The Camarillo Chamber has many programs and events dedicated to its primary function, improving the local economy and improving each member’s business.
Promoting the community
Chamber programs bring dollars to Camarillo and its businesses and keep dollars in the local economy. The Chamber promotes the community through programs like Tourism (visitor services), Old Town Association, Buy Local, Camarillo Art & Jazz Festival and more. Members enjoy a better community for their owners, managers and employees to live. They participate in Chamber programs that promote education, cooperation and strong community leadership such as the Top Ten Community Awards, Educator of the Month program and diverse programming with CSU Channel Islands.

A regular schedule of events help member representatives connect with one another and learn about important issues affecting their business and community. The Chamber manages more than 50 programs and events on behalf of members.
Governance and administration
Board of Directors
Members elect a dedicated Board of Directors made up of Camarillo area business leaders who set policy, oversee operations and represent the diverse range of Chamber members. Much of the work of the Chamber is done by a variety of committees, task forces and councils with countless volunteers—representatives from Chamber member businesses, non-profits, schools and government.
