Criteria
and requirements for Business After Hours Events
Space:
- Space
must accommodate 100 people comfortably.
- Space
must be separated from regular business activity that would distract
from the event.
- Space
must be configured so that attendees can enter at only one place
that allows for a reception table to be set up, so that all attendees
can be greeted and signed in.
- There
must be a designed place within the host's facility that 100 attendees
can gather for the official presentations and can hear the speaker.
- Parking
must be adequate to handle 100 people and be clearly marked.
Entry
to the Event:
- Chamber
will staff a reception table with employees and volunteers. The
Chamber will collect entrance fees from all attendees that enter
until ten minutes before the scheduled end of the event.
- Host
will receive free passes for up to ten key management people,
staff & clients, but others will be asked to pay. Other guests
of the Host can pay the member rate if the Host identifies the
guests.
- Prices
are to be set by the Chamber.
- There
will be a two-tier price: one for members and another for non-members.
Members may bring non-member guests and pay the member rate. Sometimes
special promotions will be offered.
Food
and beverages:
- Host

to all attendees. Chamber strongly encourages use of Chamber member
restaurants and caterers to supply food. A list of such members
will be provided. Any exceptions should be discussed with Chamber
representatives. Host will also provide adequate serving utensils,
plates, napkins, etc.
- Host

will include several varieties of soft drinks and bottled water,
with ice and cups also provided. Service of alcoholic beverages
is optional. Special rules for service of alcoholic beverages
will be provided.
The
Program:
- Business
After Hours events will generally be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
unless other arrangements are made. Chamber will run a program
of 10 to 20 minutes, including introductions of VIPs and new members

the Host to do a briefing or presentation about their business
(suggested limit is five minutes). Door prizes will be given during
the program.

must provide a PA system adequate for the anticipated crowd.
Door
prizes:
