PSA from Chamber:
We’d like to take the time to address upcoming Chamber events. We know concerns continue to rise regarding the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and our focus is to keep people in our community safe and healthy. The 53rd Annual Top Ten Community Awards are scheduled for March 20th from 6:00pm to 9:00pm at Serra Center. At this time, we have decided to postpone the event until further notice. We wish to inform our members and guests that we are adding flexibility to our event refund policy – as we do plan on still having the event at a later date, we understand if you prefer to have your tickets refunded. If you’d like to request a refund please do so by calling us at 805.484.4383 and we will gladly assist you.
We’re closely monitoring the situation and following guidance from CA Governor Gavin Newsom, public health officials and other government agencies, including the Centers for Disease Control and the World Health Organization, so we can make ongoing assessments and stay in constant communication with our members and non-members alike, to provide information and guidance as developments unfold. However, please be advised that we strongly discourage people who are sick from attending events and are requesting that people leave events if they begin to have symptoms of COVID-19; which include fever, cough, and shortness of breath. They should seek medical advice promptly by calling ahead to a doctor’s office or emergency room to get guidance. See CDC guidance on what to do when sick with COVID-19.
We understand this situation is top of mind for all of us right now. As circumstances continue to change, our goal is, and will continue to be to provide a safe and welcoming environment for anyone attending our events across our community. Thank you for your understanding and we will continue to leave updates regarding any Chamber related concerns and happenings.
